Review meeting on district development projects

In a high-level meeting of all departmental officers held on Monday at the District Collector's office, District Collector Mr. Raja Gopal Sungara informed about the provision of electricity connection in Kathiramalai on behalf of the Rural Development and Panchayat Department and the laying of roads for hamlets, installation of street lights, construction of classrooms on behalf of the School Education Department, registration of details of wetlands on behalf of the Forest Department, granting of appropriate permission for tourist resorts in the Bargur and Thalavadi hills, installation of electric lights in the Thalamalai area under the All Village Anna Revival Scheme, removal of encroachments on various roads in the Erode Corporation and taking steps to prevent sewage from accumulating, etc. 
He instructed the officials to conduct a study on the selection of locations for newly approved health centers on behalf of the Health Department and the registration and linking of parents' Aadhaar details in the birth and death records in the software, and on the housing scheme for registered workers on behalf of the Municipal  Department and Labor Welfare Department, and to complete the work as soon as possible.
Subsequently, the District Social Welfare Office presented the formation of an internal committee under the Prevention of Sexual Violence Against Women Act at workplaces, the Revenue Disaster Management Department presented the precautionary measures to be taken before the onset of the southwest monsoon, and the Swachh Bharat Mission presented the removal of e-waste in offices.
