The Rotary Club of Coimbatore Centennial conducted the Vocational Excellence Award Ceremony at The Grand Regent on June 13. The event was graced by the presence of Chief Guest Rtn. Basker Chockalingam, Past Rotary International Director and Chairman of VNC Group, and Guest of Honour Rtn. Adv. AKS. N. Sundaravadivelu, District Governor of Rotary District 3201.
During the ceremony, three prominent organisations from Coimbatore were honoured with the prestigious Vocational Excellence Award: PSG & Sons’ Charities, Lakshmi Ceramics, and Aroma.
PSG & Sons’ Charities received the award for their service to mankind. The award was accepted by Dr. J. S. Bhuvaneswaran, Director of PSG Hospitals.
Lakshmi Ceramics was recognised for its contributions to community service and entrepreneurship. Rtn. MD S. Muthuraman, Managing Director of Lakshmi Ceramics, received the award on behalf of the organisation.
Aroma was honoured for its initiatives in community service and rural development. The award was received by R. Ponnuswamy, Managing Director of Aroma.
Rtn. K. C. Srinivasan, President of the Club presented the awards to the recipients in the presence of the Chief Guest, Guest of Honour, and special guests A. V. Varatharajan, Founder Chairman of Sandfits, and Rtn. T. S. Ramani Sankar, Founder Partner and Chief Architect of Sankar & Associates.
Rtn. Shanthi Suresh, Assistant Governor, Rtn. Karthikeyan, GGR, along with the club office bearers and other club members, were also present at the
ceremony.
