Salem Corporation launches Whatsapp numbers, control room for public complaints

Minister for Municipal Administration, K.N Nehru launched whatsap number and control room for the
public to make complaints about Corporation's public amenities.
Officials said, special attention is being taken to address the increasing population's needs by the such as
infrastructure and health service, removal of garbage, proper functioning of street lights and desilting of
sewerage drains. In addition, special steps are also being taken as part of which two whatsapp numbers
were launched for public grievance redresal.
The public can access the numbers 8300062992,8300383003 with their photo images to make
complaints about the public amenities. A control room has been set up at the Corporation office where
the calls made to the whatsapp numbers will be received and shared with the respective zonal offices
for official action. The facility enables the public to lodge complaints from their houses itself, said
officials.
