Sanitary workers protest in front of corporation office at Coimbatore

Sanitary workers, who have been working on a contract basis with the city corporation, on Wednesday besieged the corporation office in the city, pressing various demands.
Their demands include paying equal wages for equal work, providing ESI medical insurance, PF benefits, and appointing them permanent employees.
The workers boycotted their work, and assembled in front of the corporation office. Police force has been deployed to prevent untoward incidents during the protest.
