School student run over by Govt.bus dies

A school student tragically died after being hit by a government bus in Kannankhurichi Salem 
There was a commotion as people gathered in that area following the mishap.
A government bus was coming from Salem New Bus Station towards Kannankurichi yesterday evening. 
This bus was driven by driver Rajendran. When the bus came near the Kannankhurichi Government Hospital, the bus hit a student who was walking in school uniform.  In this, the student suffered severe head injury and died tragically on the spot. On getting information about the accident, Lavanya, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Selvaraj, Lavanya, Selvaraj, Kannankurichi Police Inspector and the police went to the spot and recovered the body of the student and sent it to Salem Government Hospital for post-mortem. 
Preliminary police investigations revealed that the deceased student was Kavesh (12) son of a construction worker Nataraj from Kannankurichi and he was studying 7th standard in Kannankurichi Government Higher Secondary School. 
The student had left school yesterday evening and went home. He had left the geometry box in the school itself. 
He told his mother Gauri that he was fetching it and as he went back to the school he was hit by a bus and died.
The Kannankurichi police have registered a case and are investigating.  
After learning about the death of a school student after being hit by a bus, students and members of the public gathered in the area and there was a commotion.
