Schools in Tamilnadu will reopen for classes 1 to 10 on June 13, 2022, on June 20 for Plus 2 (Class 12), and on June 27 for Plus 1 (Class 11), announced Mr. Anbil Mahesh, Minister for School Education.Addressing media persons in Chennai today, the Minister said that the public exam for Plus 2 for the academic year 2022-23 will begin on March 13 and on March 12 for Plus 1. The public exams for the 10th standard will begin on April 3. Schools will function as usual and will not follow the schedules followed during the coronavirus pandemic. In the coming academic year, the quarterly and half-yearly examinations will be held compulsorily.
He further said that there will be no special coaching for NEET and students will be prepared for the exams in the school itself. As per the Chief Minister's instructions, the internet service for the public was launched and the calendar for the academic year 2022-23 and teachers' skill development calendar were published online today.
The internet service for the public includes the issue of 25 types of certificates that need not be applied by the public directly but can be obtained through simple steps.In the absence of the electronic files, the teachers had to handle over 100 registers. To make it simple, the work-efficiency app, and academic calendar have been introduced.
Students can check the internet to know the re-opening date of school, dates of quarterly and half yearly exams. Also the holiday details are provided, said Anbil Mahesh.
