Selvaperunthagai’s appointment as TNCC chief to sweeten DMK alliance in TN

It was hinted that K.S Alagirithe Tamil Nadu Congress Committee President would be replaced during the last assembly elections. One of the presidents of the Tamil Nadu Congress with the longest tenure is K.S Alagiri. Shortly before the 2019 LokSabha elections, he was appointed to the position.
The head of the Tamil Nadu Congress Committee often changes positions every three years. It has been about 4 years since K. S Alagiri assumed office. The Delhi leadership was consulting in order to name a new leader as a result.
Finally SelvaPerundagai has been appointed as the State President of the Tamil Nadu Congress. His appointment is good news for DMK. He can be friendly with DMK. He can show closeness with DMK in the assembly itself. It is in this situation that the appointment of SelvaPerundagai has become favorable for the DMK. There is no doubt that SelvaPerundagai will be friendly with the DMK mainly in the seat allocation negotiations.
There can be no alternative opinion that K.S Azhagiri, who was the leader until now, led the Tamil Nadu Congress with youthful vigor. His interviews, speeches and actions against the BJP show that he is fearless. He will never deviate from political civility. Congratulations to K. S Alagiri who has been responsible for the success of the Congress for many years.
Similarly, it is admirable that Selvaperundhagai, a social justice warrior with many years of political experience and leadership in the Legislative Congress Party, has been awarded a fitting position by the Congress leadership. In Tamil Nadu, Selvaperundhai is known for taking strong retaliatory stand on the BJP. In the next parliamentary elections, his colourful political career would surely shine through.
