Sethu Project: Will the deadlock be lifted?

Sethu Project: Will the deadlock be lifted?

In the United Progressive Alliance government, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam was present and they decided to bring the Sethu Sea Canal Project.

If this canal project is completed and opened, the youths who are wandering without work in the southern districts of Tamil Nadu will get jobs. Southern districts will benefit to the greatest extent.
But due to the machinations of some people, the Sethu Samudra Canal project was stopped at that time. Due to the concerted efforts of  late Chief Minister, Kalaingar Karunanishi the scheme was brought in by the Union Government. They held the opening ceremony of the project in Madurai. About  Rs. 2000 crore rupees were spent.

Setu Sea Canal project

But claiming that the bridge built by Ramayan Epic Hero cum God of the Hindus, Ram was there, they said that it should not be demolished and blocked the plan.Even though Nitin Gadkari, the Union Minister today, promised to complete the Setu Sea Canal Project, it has not been completed till date. During the current parliamentary session, while answering a question related to the department, the Union Minister clearly said,

"There is no evidence that the Ram Bridge was there." So, neglecting such a big project on the pretext of protecting  Ram’s bridge is to cheat the people of Tamilnadu. It is a disabled project to prevent the youth of Tamilnadu from getting employment opportunities.

The Dravidar Kazhagam has demanded that the allied parties in Tamil Nadu stand together and press the Union Government to execute the Setu Sea Canal project. Undoubtedly this is the best plan. At least in this all the leaders should come forward to insist on the union government without looking at the discrimination of ruling party and opposition parties. Tamil Nadu BJP should also pay attention to this!
