Shooting competition held for cops at Coimbatore

The city police department has organized various events and activities to commemorate its pearl jubilee celebration. On Tuesday, a rifle shooting competition was organized as a part of it.
The City police department was established in 1990. As a part of their 35th year celebration, the police commissioner’s office and all other police stations were decorated with colourful lights. In addition, numerous programmes like oratorical competition for students, a painting competition, quiz, public-police goodwill cricket match, cycling and a medical camp are being conducted. The celebration will go till April 26.
On the first day of the celebration, a road safety awareness walkathon was held on Monday. On the second day, a rifle shooting competition was held for sub-inspectors and officers at the police ground in the city. More than 100 officials participated in the competition. Winners will be announced on April 26.
