SIMATS creates record in SBES procedure for Kidney Diseases

Saveetha Medical College and Hospitals, SIMATS Chennai have one of the largest record of having conducted Simultaneous Bilateral Endoscopic Surgery (SBES) in the world. 

As a mark of appreciation for showcasing the saidachievement SIMATS has got the Pondicherry video prize in TAPASUCON(Tamilnadu and Pondicherry) conference. SVES is a novel surgery wheretwo teams of urologists operate on both the kidneys at the same time in a minimallyinvasive manner. Theprocedure has created a paradigm shift in the treatment of bilateral renal stonedisease patients and is the way forward.

According to an official communication from SIMATS, has been performing this procedure since2018 and we have completed 50 successfully (Adults and Paediatrics).
