Sipcot workers plea to Perundurai MLA

More than 600 workers of Perundurai Sipcot submitted a petition to local MLA Jayakumar on Monday seeking  job security.

The Sipcot Security Protest Group has demanded the closure of the Perundurai Sipcot Common Effluent Treatment Plant. It will hit 9 dyeing units, affecting more than 600 workers working in them. So they petitioned to the MLA for job security.

After receiving the petition, Jayakumar spoke to the District Collector and assured that appropriate action would be taken.
