Vice-president of Sathyabama institute of science and technology, J Arulselvan, inaugurated the SIST-STEM-25 Conference (Sustainable Innovative Solutions Transforming - Science, Technology, Engineering, and Management 2025) at the college premises in the city.
A lot of people, especially researchers, academicians, students, and industry experts from various parts of the country attended the conference.
Arulselvan emphasized on the institution’s ongoing commitment to fostering sustainable solutions through research and innovation.
Kalaiselvam, professor and director, Center for Industrial Safety, Anna University delivered his keynote address, titled "Sustainable Practices in Industrial Safety and Hazard Prevention". He provided an insightful overview of integrating sustainability into safety protocols. He stressed the importance of collaborative research, policy innovation, and real-time case studies as essential components of building resilient and future-ready industrial
systems.
Kalaiselvam said, “We are at a pivotal moment where safety and sustainability must go hand in hand. As we engineer solutions for tomorrow, we must embed environmental responsibility into every layer of decision-making.”
