TN power finance and infrastructure development corporation chairman R. Ambalavanan and Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner P Pratap inspected the development works carried out at Valangulam in central zone at a cost of Rs 67.86 cr under the smart City project.
Ambalavanan directed the officials to complete the works, including construction of sewage treatment plants to check mixing of sewage in the tank, speedily and plant useful plants and vettiver on the banks of the tank to lure tourists.
He advised officials to maintain the bus stand in front of the medical college hospital.
He also inspected the ongoing development works in the Ukkadam Periyakulam at a cost of Rs 62.17 cr and the ongoing works including the Kurichi tank in southern zone at an outlay of Rs 52.16 cr.
Top officials Murugan, Ilangovan, Baskar, and Saravanakumar accompanied them.
