Somerset Greenways Chennai & Citadines OMR Chennai have partnered with Annai Fathima Child Welfare Centre and Udhavum Ullangal Public Charitable Trust under Ascott CARES (Community, Alliance, Respect, Environment, Supply Chain) initiative to provide funds for construction of an orphanage & elderly residents home along with providing clean water access across various schools and development center in Chennai.
The announcement was made in the presence of Mr. Rohan Rakendath, Area General Manager, The Ascott Limited India, Mr. Mansur Ahmed, General Manager, Somerset Greenways Chennai, Mr. Prashanth Rajkumar, General Manager, Citadines OMR Chennai, Mrs. Rani Krishnan, Founder & Secretary, Annai Fathima Trust & Mr. Sankar Mahadeva, Founder & Trustee, Udhavum Ullangal Public Charitable Trust.
The collaboration with Udhavum Ullangal Public Charitable Trust will focus on implementing sustainable clean water projects across schools and development centers.
Somerset Greenways Chennai & Citadines OMR Chennai will also contribute funds for the development of an orphanage and elderly residents center which will be developed by Annai Fathima Child Welfare Centre, a government registered charitable organization working towards the welfare of orphan and senior citizens. Both the properties have been supporting this welfare center since 2018 by providing rations, stationary items, and distributing food and clothing.
