SP inaugurates Nandha's marathon

Nandha educational institutions and its NGO-Manitham-arranged a marathon in connection with the World Blood Donation day and also a blood donation camp at Erode on June 14. 
It was inaugurated by SP Jawahar, in the presence of the institution chairman V Shanmugan, secretaries Nandhakumar Pradeep and Thirumurthy. 
 

The marathon was held for both men and women above 15 years of age at 5.30 am from VOC ground. 
The marathon of men was held for a distance of 21 km upto the Nandha College of Technology, Vaikkalmedu and women for 10 km till Nandha Central School, Teacher's Colony, Erode.
I prize of Rs 20000, II prize Rs 10000, III  prize Rs 5000, IV, V prize Rs 2000 and VI to X prize of Rs 1000 were given to the participants at the auditorium of Nandha Engineering College. 
 

In the blood donation camp, 300 students of Nandha educational institutions donated blood at the Nandha Medical College. 
Around 2000 participated in the marathon.
