Special prayer held on the birth anniversary of former president Abdul Kalam

A special prayer was held at the memorial of the late former President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam in Rameswaram today, marking his 93rd birth anniversary. 
Thousands of people gathered to pay their respects, showering flowers at his memorial, which was beautifully decorated with colourful lights and flowers.
Kalam’s family, including his nephew Zainulabuddin, daughter Nazima Maraikayer, grandsons Sheikh Saleem and Aul Meera, and other relatives, participated in a special Islamic prayer at the memorial. The ceremony was open to all community members, reflecting Kalam’s legacy of unity and inclusiveness. Ramanathapuram District Collector Simranjeet Singh, Assistant Collector Mohammad Irfan, and other government officials also paid their respects by laying wreaths and sprinkling flowers. 
Thousands of students, tourists, and members of various organisations from across Tamil Nadu visited Kalam's national memorial to honour his memory.
In addition, a marathon competition was organised by the Ramanathapuram district administration in honour of Kalam's birthday, with all participants receiving certificates of appreciation.
