To accommodate increased travel demand during the Holi festival, Southern Railway has announced special trains connecting Tamil Nadu with Delhi and Bihar.
Thiruvananthapuram – Hazrat Nizamuddin Special Train
Train No. 06073 will depart from Thiruvananthapuram North at 2:15 PM on March 7 and 14 (Fridays) and reach Hazrat Nizamuddin at 8:40 PM on Sundays.
The return service, Train No. 06074, will leave Hazrat Nizamuddin at 4:10 AM on March 10 and 17 (Mondays) and arrive in Thiruvananthapuram North at 2:15 PM on Wednesdays. This train will have AC 3-Tier Economy Coaches and halt at key stations, including Podanur, Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, and Jolarpettai.
Podanur – Barauni Special Train
Train No. 06055 will depart from Podanur Junction at 11:45 AM on March 8 and 15 (Saturdays) and reach Barauni Junction at 2:30 PM on Mondays. The return service, Train No. 06056, will leave Barauni at 11:45 PM on March 11 and 18 (Tuesdays) and arrive in Podanur at 3:45 AM on Fridays.
This train will include Sleeper Class and General Second Class Coaches, with stops at major stations such as Erode, Salem, Jolarpettai, Vijayawada, Ranchi, and Dhanbad.
