Sri Ramakrishna College of Arts & Science (SRCAS) hosted the third edition of the highly anticipated ALMAPRENEURS'24 Student Entrepreneur Conclave on July 3. The event, aimed at empowering the next generation of Indian entrepreneurs to build globally successful start-ups, saw enthusiastic participation from students, faculty, and distinguished alumni.
The event began with a welcome address by Dr. D Santhanakrishnan, Head of BCom PA and Coordinator for the Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) and Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC). He emphasised the significance of entrepreneurial initiatives and the role of IIC and EDC in nurturing young innovators.
Dr. Bamini Rajasekharan, Director-MBA, unveiled the ALMAPRENEURS initiative, highlighting its objectives and the impact it aims to create by connecting students with successful alumni entrepreneurs and industry leaders. She noted that the initiative has launched 101 student startups in previous events.
Keynote Speaker Badri Narayan RD, Managing Director at Accenture Software & Platform Engineering Services, USA, shared insights on technological and managerial strategies essential for global success in the software and platform engineering sectors. Special invitee Skandha Suhas B, Founder and President of the Oregon Young Investors Club, USA, focused on investment strategies and financial planning for young startups.
The event also featured interactive Q&A sessions, allowing students to engage directly with the speakers and gain valuable advice. Dr. Shobana, Alumni Coordinator, delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the speakers, organizers, and participants. The event was held under the patronage of Dr. BL Shivakumar, Principal and Secretary of SRCAS, whose support was instrumental in its success.
