Siemens Healthineers is a German medical device company with its office in Bangalore, India. They hosted a national level Hackathon– Siemens Shift Hackathon. 300 plus teams of students from across the country participated. Of the teams, 10 teams were shortlisted for the grand finale held in Bangalore.
It was a 24-hour hackathon and top 5 finalists were selected, the two teams are from Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College, (SREC) Coimbatore, department of Biomedical Engineering. One team from SREC emerged as the title winner competing with IISc and IITs.

The award-winning team bagged a cash prize of Rs 5 lakhs, certificate of appreciation and internship offers with Siemens for their product Indigenous Non Invasive Glucometer.

Ramamurthy, Professor and Head, Department of Biomedical Engineering, Mr. M.Ganesh, Head of the Collaborative Innovation Centre of SREC congratulated the mentor of the team MS. V. Srividhyasakthi Assistant Professor, Biomedical Engineering for her support and guidance to the students during the complete process.
