The city-based Sri Ramakrishna Hospital organised a day-long conference at Velumani ammal memorial auditorium in the city to educate ambulance pilots and operators about emergency care as they were the ones who handle patients route to hospitals.
Emergency medical consultant Dr Manjunathan explained the audience about handling patients under code yellow conditions while his counterpart Dr Parthiban spoke about handling patients who are in need of intensive emergency care.
The conference took place in the presence of Dr P Sukumaran, dean and medical director of the hospital and CV Ram Kumar, CEO of SNS sons charitable trust. Over 100 ambulance pilots and operators attended the conference.
