Sri Ramakrishna Hospital takes center stage on World Kidney Day

Sri Ramakrishna Hospital feels privileged to join the global community in raising awareness about world kidney day on March 14.
The event was graced by Dr.S.Rajagopal, Medical Director, and Dr. S.Alagappan Medical Superintendent, of the Hospital. Dr. N. Chezhiyan,Consultant Nephrologist & HOD and Dr. P. Kathamuthu, Consultant Urologist and Andrologist were speakers of the "World Kidney Day-2024" .
The awareness event was attended by Dr. G. Madhu Shankar, Consultant Nephrologist ,Dr. Ganesh Prasad, Consultant Urologist & Andrologist , Dr. Karpagavalli, DNOs, Nursing staffs  and over 200 students. The theme for World Kidney Day, 2024 is “Kidney Health for All - Advancing Equitable access to care and optimal medication practice.” 
The sole reason to celebrate Kidney Day is to shed light on kidney disease and the need for early detection and treatment. By increasing awareness about the value of kidney health, the day points to encouraging equitable access to kidney healthcare and initiating things that help in the speedy detection and prevention of kidney disease. Globally, millions of people are diagnosed with kidney and related diseases, resulting in severe health complications, and at times leads to fatalities if not paid proper attention. Admitting the urgency of treating this health concern, Sri Ramakrishna Hospital remains committed to offering extensive care and assistance to people with kidney diseases.
