SRIT arranges national level Electric Bike Design Challenge – Season 4

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Sri Ramakrishna Institute of Technology (SRIT) Pachapalayam in association with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME - SRIT Student Section) hosted the 4th National Level Electric Bike Design Challenge,   Season 4.0 over four days from September 24 to 27, 2024.
The inauguration ceremony, held on September 24, 2024, was presided over by Thiru R. Sundar, Joint Managing Trustee of SNR Sons Charitable Trust, and Dr. N.R. Alamelu, Director of Academics at SNR Sons Charitable Trust. Thirteen enthusiastic teams from across India participated, showcasing remarkable spirit and innovative ideas. After the ceremony, Thiru R. Sundar, Dr. N.R. Alamelu, and the Heads of Departments visited each team’s pit to offer their best wishes and encouragement.
The award ceremony was held in the evening at the SRIT Open Air Auditorium, presided over by Thiru R. Sundar, Dr. N.R. Alamelu, and Subash Pilla, Founder and CEO of Imagine to Innovate, Vizag. The overall championship was secured by the Falcon Racers from RVR & JC College of Engineering, Guntur, who won a cash prize of ₹50,000 and a tour package to Wonderla, Cochin. The runner-up was Team MV Tronics from Hindustan College of Engineering and Technology, Coimbatore, with a cash prize of ₹25,000. An all-women team from St. Joseph College of Engineering, Chennai, received the Best Women Driver and Best Women Captain awards, along with several other exciting awards for participants.
