The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) Regional Athletic Meet was conducted by St. Jude's Public School and Junior College, Kotagiri held recently at MRC Stadium, Coonoor. 622 participants from 69 schools from the 4 zones of Tamilnadu and Pondicherry region participated in this grand event.
Among the four zones that participated, Zone B emerged the overall champions in both boys and girls division. It is noteworthy that the maximum points in the girls as well as the boys division were procured by the Judians. The boys secured 67 points while the girls secured 77. Thus, the prestigious overall championship was won by St. Jude's. The Regional Co-ordinator, and Principal Dr. Saro Dhanarajan, and the Chief Guest, Colonel Avinash Rana honoured the record breakers and the overall champions with individual trophies.
The 1st and the 2nd place winners at the Regionals will compete in the National level events that are to be held for girls from 10th 12th September, 2025 at Vismaya Academy, Karnataka. The Nationals for the boys will be held from 12th 14th September, 2025 at Sri K.V. English School, Karnataka. Winners at the Nationals will participate in the School Games Federation of India (SGFI) which is a prestigious event held every year.
