To commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Egmore eye hospital in Chennai, the Chief Minister MK Stalin
inaugurated a new building that was constructed at the cost of Rs 65.50 crore at the hospital premises. He also inaugurated buildings constructed in other districts at the cost of Rs 63.60 crore.
The Chief Minister inaugurated a new building at Egmore eye hospital and hospital buildings at other districts apart from bringing to use the new medical equipment and ambulances.
Stain inaugurated newly constructed buildings at Egmore government children’s hospital,
Tiruvallikeni Kasturba Gandhi maternity hospital and Tambaram government hospital, and distributed medical equipment including ventilators and ultrasound machine to a primary health centre at Tiruvallur district.
He then flagged off 26 battery-operated ambulances before handing over appointment orders to 237 people who were selected for various posts of health department on humanitarian basis.
