Stalin inaugurates free breakfast scheme for schools, colleges managed by Palani temple

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin virtually inaugurated nutritious breakfast scheme at two schools and four 
colleges that were functioning under Palani  Dhandayuthapani temple management in Dindigul on Wednesday.

The Chief Minister during his budget speech in the assembly session announced that a nutritious breakfast scheme would be implemented at schools and colleges that are functioning under Arulmigu Palani Dhandayuthapani temple management considering the economic condition of the students. Stalin on Wednesday issued orders to implement his announcement.

As per which, the schemes would be implemented in the schools – Arulmigu Palaniandavar matric higher secondary school and Arulmigu Dhandayuthapani swamy temple primary school – and the colleges – Arulmigu Palaniandavar arts and cultural college, Arulmigu Palaniandavar women’s arts college, Arulmigu Palaniandavar polytechnic college and Arulmigu Palaniandavar women arts and science college.

Breakfast scheme provided 

Over 4,000 students studying in these schools and colleges would be benefitted from the scheme.   Students would be provided Pongal and idli or rava upma and idli or kichadi and ildi on a rotational basis and the fund required for the execution of the breakfast scheme would be provided by the temple management.

Civil supplies minister Sakkarabani, HR and CE minister Sekar babu, principal secretary to HR and CE department P Chandramohan, HR and  CE commissioner Kumaragurubaran, additional commissioner R Kannan and other officials took part in the event from Chennai while MP Veluchami, Dindigul collector Visakan and public representatives attended the event from Dindigul.
