Chief Minister and DMK president MK Stalin on Thursday launched the ‘Oraniyil Tamil Nadu’ initiative in Alwarpet in the city. He said, “Let Tamil Nadu win as a single team.”
Stalin visited the houses in Alwarpet and explained various welfare schemes implemented by the DMK government. Similarly, ministers and MLAs will be visiting the public at their door steps to explain about the government’s achievements. They will visit their own constituencies for campaigning.
As the state assembly election is far approaching, political parties have begun their campaign across the state. The ruling DMK has named its door-to-door campaign as ‘Oraniyil Tamil Nadu’. Stalin instructed the party cadres to ensure that not even a single house is left behind, and visit all the houses in the state.
“To protect the soil, language and honour of the state, Tamil Nadu should win in unison with any caste, political and religious differences,” Stalin said.
Taking to the X platform, he said, “DMK’s district secretaries, MLAs, MPs and other functionaries should engage in uniting everyone in the state.”
