Chief Minister MK Stalin was received in a grand manner by minister Duraimurugan and party cadres at Katpadi railway station on Wednesday.
Stalin reached Katpadi by train to participate in various government programmes taking place in Vellore and Tirupattur, and to conduct field inspections on Wednesday and Thursday. He also inaugurated a government hospital in Pentland.
He left for Vellore in the Sainagar Shirdi superfast express that departed Chennai central railway station at 10:25 am. The train reached Katpadi railway station at 12:10 pm. He was received by minister Duraimurugan and other party cadres at the railway station.
A multi-specialty hospital with a ground floor and 7 floors has been built in the premises of this hospital at a cost of Rs 150 crore. He also inaugurated nine government primary health centres through video conferencing.
Following lunch, he is expected to meet political leaders. Around 5 pm, he will be inaugurated Kalaignar arivalayam and a library in Kenganallur. He is likely to conduct field inspections. He will return to Chennai by train on Thursday.
