Chief Minister MK Stalin on Thursday visited the family members of late MLA Kovai Thangam at his house in the city and expressed his condolences. To participate in several events that are scheduled in Erode and Karur, Stalin had reached Coimbatore via a private flight on Thursday morning.
Electricity minister V Senthil Balaji along with DMK cadres including district secretaries N Karthik, Thondamuthur Ravi and Murugesan received the Chief Minister. He then travelled to Saibaba colony in a car to visit the family members of the late MLA. He paid floral tribute to his portrait at his house. He then left for Erode. After participating in the events, he is likely to leave for Karur. Stalin would be providing free electricity connections to 50,000 farmers in Karur before leaving for Dindigal to participate in a function along with prime minister Narendra Modi.
