Retired Lieutenant General, a 1953 Alumnus, Graces Event as Chief Guest
Stanes CBSE School, a venerable institution on Avinashi Road in Coimbatore with over a century of history, recently celebrated its annual day on the school campus.
The annual day, themed "Three Dots And A Dash," was presided over by Mr. Philip R.J. Fowler, Correspondent of Stanes School. Earlier, Principal Ms. Eileen Jethro extended a warm welcome to all attendees.
The highlight of the event was the presence of retired Lieutenant General Girish, a distinguished alumnus from the 1953 batch, and his wife, Mrs. Jyothi, as chief guests. Speaking at the event, Lieutenant General Girish expressed his pride in being an alumnus, recalling his time at the school from 1953 to 1961.
He lauded the school's faculty and administrative staff, noting their expertise in nurturing students to develop strong values, a sense of responsibility, leadership qualities, and the ability to face challenges. He urged students to utilize the skills they gain to contribute significantly to the nation's progress.
During the ceremony, outstanding students of Stanes CBSE School were honored with certificates and prizes for their academic excellence and achievements in sports and cultural events.
The event saw the participation of Treasurer Dr. James J. Gnanadoss, Principal Ms. Eileen Jethro (Stanes CBSE), Principal Ms. Selene Vinodhini (Stanes Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School), Principal Designate Mr. John Stephen (Stanes School), Principal Mr. Zenette Jayaprakash (Stanes ICSE/ISC), Principal Ms. Georgina Avita Simmons (Stanes International School), Chief Administrative Officer Mr. V. M. John, along with parents and former students.
