Stanes School, which is approaching its 162nd year, organised its 137th cross-country race for students on July 13th. The event saw enthusiastic participation from students of various schools under the Stanes organisation. The race was successfully coordinated with the help of PT teachers, student volunteers, and traffic police officers.
City Police Commissioner Balakrishnan flagged off the race. School correspondent Mercy Oommen and numerous teachers were present to support the event. Teachers were stationed at key points along the route to guide the students, while traffic police managed the traffic to ensure a smooth run.
The race began near the C2 police station, Race course and concluded at the school ground. The winners were awarded by the school principal and teachers. The event was also attended by parents and alumni, adding to the sense of community and tradition.
