Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati emphasised the importance of higher education for students who studied in government schools during a public relations camp in Sirumugai village, Coimbatore district. At the camp, the collector distributed government welfare assistance worth Rs. 1.80 crore to 249 beneficiaries.
In his speech, Collector Kranthi Kumar encouraged students from government schools to pursue higher education, noting the abundant job opportunities available in Coimbatore, which is home to a variety of industries in addition to agriculture. He pointed out that students in Coimbatore need not travel to other districts for employment or higher education, as both are readily available in the region.
For students who face immediate financial pressures, the collector advised enrolling in government ITI colleges or polytechnic institutes. He explained that these institutions offer courses such as electrician and builder training, which can lead to quick employment opportunities. He also urged government officials to expedite action on petitions submitted by the public during the camp.
