Tamil Nadu CM bags third place in popular chief minister survey

Tamil Nadu chief minister MK Stalin has secured third place in India Today’s Mood of the National Polls to rank the most popular chief ministers of the country. 

In the survey, Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik has secured the top position with 78% while Assam chief minister Himant Biswa Sarma has secured the second position with 63%. DMK Chief and Tamil Nadu chief minister Stalin has come third in the survey with 61%.  

In the poll to identify the next prime minister of the country, 54% of votes have come in favour of Narendra Modi, while Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has scored only 9% of votes. Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal scored only 7% of votes. 

While 40% of the voters said that the Congress has been doing good as the opposition party, 34% of the voters said that the party is not doing well. 

While 23% of  people voted in favour of appointing Rahul Gandhi as the president of Congress, 16% of people voted to appoint former prime minister Manmohan Singh as the party president. The poll also predicted that the BJP along with its alliance would win 286 seats in the upcoming parliamentary election, while the Congress would win 146 seats and other parties would win 111 seats.
