Higher education minister Govi Chezhiaan on Friday announced the engineering admission rank list at the directorate of technical education office in Guindy in the city. Students are requested to check their rank on the website - https://www.tneaonline.org/.
As per the rank list, about 145 students scored 200 out of 200, and of which, 140 people studied in the state board.
The minister said that the engineering counselling will start on July 7. It starts with the counselling for special category candidates, and counselling for general category candidates will begin on June 14.
Following the release of the random number, a grievance redressal service will be provided to students to clarify the doubts in rank list from June 28 to July 2.
The state has more than 440 engineering colleges including colleges affiliated to Anna University, government and government-aided colleges.
They offer about 2 lakh undergraduate engineering government-allocated seats.
The online registration which began on May 7, ended on June 6, and about 2.49 lakh students have applied for the course. A 10-digit random number was allotted to applicants on May 11.
Following the allocation of the random number, the process of online verification of students' certificates at the Engineering Admission Service Centers began on May 10 and ended on June 20.
