Tamil Nadu Government extends Financial Assistance for actress Jayakumari’s treatment

Health minister Ma Subramanian has assured to extend financial assistance to actress Jayakumari, who has been suffering medical ailments, for her medical treatment. The actress had acted in more than 200 films in multiple  languages including Tamil, Telugu and  Malayalam during the 1970s and 1980s. 

For the past 1.5 years, the actress has been suffering from kidney-related ailment and has been undergoing treatment at government hospital in Kilpauk in Chennai.Alerted about the incident, the health minister visited the actress at the hospital and directed doctors to provide the best possible treatment to her.  Based on her request, the minister had assured to take steps to provide a monthly stipend and a house to her.
