Amid the tension prevails in the state after petrol bombs were hurled at the premises of BJP and Hindu Munnani functionaries, Tamil Nadu governor RN Ravi has left for New Delhi on Monday to meet the Union Minister Amit Shah. Petrol bomb hurling incidents started after NIA arrested as many as ten Popular Front of India (PFI) functionaries following search operations at their premises.
While DGP Sylendra Babu has warned of arresting those involved in violence under the Goondas Act, Union Minister Bhanu Pratap Singh said that action would be taken against the accused based on the inquiry report that would be submitted by the Tamil Nadu government. Amid the prevailing tension, governor RN Ravi has left for New Delhi to meet the home minister Amit Shah to discuss the incidents. He was expected to stay in Delhi for three days before returning to Chennai.
