Tea Board India creates awareness programmes on South Indian tea in educational institutions

Tea Board India organised an awareness program at VCSM Matriculation School, Green Field Campus, GN Mills, Coimbatore, to educate students about the quality and benefits of South Indian tea.
The event was attended by Dr. Mahipal Singh, Director of Research, Tea Board India, Coonoor; Dipak Shah, Managing Director, Crystal Tea India Pvt Ltd; Girish Nair, Chairman, Tea Trade Association of Coimbatore; and Prabhu, Manager, Forbes Tea Traders. School Correspondent Herald Sam welcomed the guests with a ceremonial shawl.
During the session, experts explained the process of tea cultivation and the health benefits of tea products to upper primary students. 
The interactive program saw enthusiastic participation, with students engaging in a Q&A session. To encourage learning, prizes were distributed to those who actively participated.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks, by The initiative aimed to foster awareness among young students about the South Indian tea industry, highlighting its significance, benefits, and contribution to the economy.
