The moon will be the next compliant space for human life: Mylsamy Annadurai

Mylswamy Annadurai, former director of the Indian Space Research Organisation and vice-president of the Tamil Nadu State Institute of Science and Technology, gave an interview in Perambalur yesterday while he said that the moon will be compliant for human existence.

Countries including the United States, Russia, and Europe have sent spacecraft to the moon 65 times. All nations declared that there were deserts on the moon. But with the Chandrayaan project, only the Indian aerospace industry was the first to announce to the world the existence of water by accurately exploring the polar regions of the moon through 11 modern instruments. Tamil Nadu has made a great contribution to the field of space.

The spacecraft launch pad at Kulasekarapattinam will be the best launchpad in the world.  India is ranked among the top 5 countries in the world in space exploration. 55 spacecraft have been sent to explore Mars.  All the spacecraft sent by China to Mars ended in failure. But the Mangalyaan spacecraft, launched by India for the first time on a very low budget, was a huge success.

The Indian space agency has launched 340 satellites from 36 countries. Next year, 75 satellites made by Indian students will be launched into space. Earth and Mars are not far away. The next opportunity for humans to live will be the moon. Our education should be for global needs. Educational institutions should take appropriate steps. Only then can we create numerous career opportunities from agriculture to aerospace. Thus he said.
