Tiruppur Collector T Christuraj convened a meeting at the collector's office to promote the establishment of textile parks in the region on July 24. This initiative is part of the Chief Minister's vision to develop small textile parks and enhance the textile sector's infrastructure and capabilities. The meeting aimed to encourage entrepreneurs, representatives from the dyeing association, and members of the Tiruppur Export Association to participate in setting up these parks.
During the meeting, the district collector emphasised the government's support for the project, including providing real-time training for employees and conducting workshops to deepen industry knowledge. He also announced that the government would offer financial funding of up to Rs. 2.50 crore to entrepreneurs who contribute to the establishment of these textile parks. Deputy Commissioner (Textile Sector) Raghavan, entrepreneurs, and other textile officials were present at the discussion, which highlighted the government's commitment to promoting growth and innovation in Tiruppur's textile industry.
