Tiruppur Collector inaugurates ICDS rally

Tiruppur District Collector Mr. Chrishturaj flagged off the nutrition awareness rally under the Poshan Abhiyan program on behalf of the Integrated Child Development Program (ICDS) in the District Collector's Office on the occasion of National Nutrition Month. 
Then he visited the nutrition fair there. 
He said the fair is organised by the Department of Rural Development, ICDS, Department of Health and Family Welfare, Department of Education, Department of Horticulture. 
In order to improve the nutritional status of beneficiaries such as pregnant women, lactating mothers, children from birth to 6 years and growing young women, the Nutrition Month Festival is celebrated throughout the month of September every year. 
On this occasion, District Project Officer (P) of ICDS Ms. Mahalakshmi Sangeetha, Women Rotary President Ms. Krithika Thangaraj, Secretary Ms. Radhika Viswanathan, Child Development Program Officers, Anganwadi Workers and Departmental Officers were present.
