Tiruppur Collector inspects Kurichi pond

Tiruppur District Collector T Chrishturaj inspected the overflowing Kurichi pond in Uthukuli Panchayat Union, Tirupur District   due to heavy rainfall. Tirupur district has been receiving heavy rain for the past few days. As of last 24 hours, 118.70 mm of rain has been recorded in the district. In this, the maximum rainfall of 24 mm was recorded in Avinasi taluk and 13 mm in Uthukuli Taluk. Due to continuous rain, Kurichi pond  is full at present. The total area of ​​this pond is 36 acres. In 1972, the Kurichi pond overflowed. 52 years have passed since then.  Now the pond is overflowing. The people and farmers of the area are very happy as the Kurichi pond is full due to heavy rains. Uthukuli BDO Saravanan, Maheshwaran, Assistant Engineer Saravanakumar and many departmental officers were present.
