Tiruvannamalai Collector encourages students to pursue their dreams

Tiruvannamalai Collector D Bhaskara Pandian presided over the second phase of the higher education guidance program, "En Kalloori Kanavu," organised by the Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare Department at the Tiruvannamalai District Collector's office.
During the orientation program, the District Collector addressed class 12 SC and ST students, and other students informing them about various higher education fields such as Medicine, UPSC, IIT, Agriculture, and others. He also discussed the Central Government Post Matriculation Scholarship Scheme for higher education and addressed students' queries. The program provided detailed explanations about applying for higher education after plus 2, degree and diploma courses in various fields, and job opportunities in both the government and private sectors.
Collector Bhaskara Pandian emphasised the importance of the next five years as a critical period for students. He encouraged them to plan and work hard to progress in life, understand their strengths, choose suitable courses, and set life goals. He urged students to set an example for others and highlighted the potential to attain various posts through competitive examinations. He also mentioned that banks provide loans for startups and that students should utilise these opportunities to become entrepreneurs through hard work and technology-related courses.
He advised that starting a business after completing their studies could provide employment to many, and inventing new technology and patenting it could lead to higher earnings. Beyond competitive examinations, he pointed out numerous opportunities in entrepreneurship, agriculture, and other fields. He encouraged students to think about the positive changes they can bring to the world and reminded them that progress takes time and effort.
The District Collector congratulated the students for clearing their examinations and presented books as gifts to those who asked excellent questions during the program.
The event was attended by District Adi Dravidar Welfare Officer Shanti, District Manager (TADCO) Elumalai, higher education guidance coaches, and school students.
