MP CN Annadurai distributed sweets and celebrated the Supreme Court’s verdict against Tamil Nadu Governor RN Ravi on Wednesday.
In a case filed by the state government, the Apex Court ruled that the Governor does not have the power to suspend a bill passed twice by the state assembly, and stated the governor’s move to sit on 10 bills for a long time before sending it for President’s assent as illegal.
The MP along with the DMK district secretary Karthi Velmaran distributed sweets to the public, and passengers traveling in autos, cars and buses.
The event was attended by district deputy secretary Priya P Vijayarangan, secretary Meiyyur Chandran, district coordinators TVM Nehru, AA Arumugam, K Ganesh, PKA Arun, deputy mayor Rajangam, district representative Kutty K Pugazhendi, and district assistant coordinators S Kannadasan and P Sherif.
