TMB bank announces its next MD & CEO

Tamilnad Mercantile Bank (TMB) has announced the appointment of Salee S Nair as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD & CEO) for a three-year term. Nair brings over 35 years of experience in the banking and financial services sector, previously serving as Deputy Managing Director and Chief Credit Officer at the State Bank of India (SBI).
Expressing his enthusiasm for the new role, Nair stated, "I am honoured to take on this role at such a pivotal time for Tamilnad Mercantile Bank. I look forward to working closely with the Board, the management team, and all employees to drive the bank’s strategic priorities forward."
Throughout his career, Nair has held significant positions within SBI, including roles in the Corporate Account Group, International Banking, and Stressed Assets Resolution. 
He has extensive experience in managing large corporate accounts, including the Reliance and Essar Groups, and has also managed international operations in the USA and Australia.
Nair's appointment marks a new chapter for TMB, as the bank looks to leverage his expertise in steering its future growth and stability.
