TMC promises to arrange handloom expo hall at Chennimalai

TMC Erode LS candidate P Vijayakumar said that he will urge the Central government to set up a handloom exhibition hall in Chennimalai to attract exporters.

He campaigned in Erode East and West constituencies along with alliance party leaders on Wednesday. Later, he concluded the campaign near Erode Government Hospital.

Then, he said: I will find a permanent solution to the problem of dye waste in Erode and formulate an action plan to protect agriculture and textile industry. To increase handloom production and sales, I will set up handloom export center at Chennimalai with handloom exhibition hall  to attract global exporters and promote textile export through Central Textile Department. To increase the sales of Co-optex, I will conduct sales camps in all the colleges and universities in Tamil Nadu and support the development of the textile sector. He said that besides increasing the value of turmeric and promoting its sales through the government, a turmeric export center will be set up in Modakurichi and Kodumudi area for export.
