TNEA 2022 rank list Released

Tamil Nadu higher education minister K Ponmudy on Tuesday released the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) 2022 rank list. As many as ten students have secured 200 out of 200 cut-off marks, while Renjitha has come first. 

Out of 2.11 lakh students who registered their applications for counselling, 1.7 lakh students have uploaded their certificates and paid fees. These students would be allowed to take part in the counselling process. 

Releasing the rank list, the minister said that as many as 1,58,157 students were on the rank list and of which, a total of 22,587 students, who studied in government schools and got the 7.5% reservation. 

Stating that as many as 431 engineering institutions including Anna University and its colleges, are taking part in the engineering counselling this year, the minister said that the counselling for differently-abled students, wards of the ex-servicemen and sports persons besides providing 7.5% quota for government school students from August 20 before the counselling commences for other students from August 25 to October 21.

 Self-finance engineering colleges have 1,96,627 seats and Anna University has 900 seats. As many as 431 colleges are taking part in the counselling. 

This year, the government has taken steps to provide financial assistance worth Rs 1,000 to 9,981 girl students of government schools. 

This year, the process was delayed from the original schedule due to the delay in announcing the CBSE class XII results. The candidates, who registered for the counselling, could now check and download their TNEA rank list from the official website - tneaonline.org - by using their email id and password. 

The TNEA 2022 rank list is prepared based on the marks obtained by the students in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry which is reduced to 200 (Maths – 100, Physics – 50 and Chemistry - 50) and the students are allowed to participate in TNEA 2022 counselling based on their rank.

Students grabbed the top ten ranks in TNEA

Tamil Nadu higher education minister Ponmudy released the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission (TNEA) rank list and announced the names of students who grabbed top ten ranks in the admission.

 A student, Ranjitha, has come first by scoring 200 out of 200 marks. Nine other students including Harinika, Logesh Kannan, Ajay, Gopi, Prateekshaa, Pavithra and Hariguru also scored 200 out of 200 marks.
