TNGEA plea to SP to register FIR

TNGEA plea to SP to register FIR

TNGEA district executive meeting, led by union district secretary S Vijayamanoharan, appealed to the police to register a case against the Punjabi Puliampatti municipal chairman and vice chairman for attacking municipal commissioner Syed Hussain on April 13 by entering into his room.
The incident was telecast by all TV channels. It said that the commissioner informed the collector, RDO, SP on April 17 and as per their advice lodged a complaint with the Punjai Puliampatti police on April 18.

The municipal and corporation officials association staged a demonstration in front of the municipal office on April 21 seeking action on the issue. Despite 30 days were elapsed and video evidence was available, police didn't register FIR. So, the TNGEA submitted a petition in the SP office on May 25 and decided to stage a demonstration in front of the police station office on Tuesday evening. It decided to hold a meeting of employment with social security coordination meeting in June first week and take follow up action against the disciplinary action taken against the functionaries of veterinary assistants association. Union vice president S Senthilnathan presided.
