Train services between Ooty and Coonoor suspended due to rock falling on the track

Train services between Ooty and Coonoor have been temporarily suspended due to a rockfall on the mountain railway track. Heavy rains in the Nilgiris, particularly in the Coonoor area, have caused rocks to fall on the tracks at three different locations, leading to the suspension of services. 
Initially, only the Mettupalayam to Coonoor section was cancelled for today and tomorrow as a precaution, with the plan for the Coonoor to Ooty trains to operate as usual.
However, after the rockfall, the mountain train from Coonoor to Ooty was cancelled, leaving tourists disappointed. Railway employees are working continuously to remove the rocks and repair the track. Officials stated that once the repairs are completed, regular train services will resume.
