Truck owners, traders start waiting struggle at Bannari

Truck owners and traders started waiting stage at Bannari check post in protest against ban on movement of vehicles in the nights on the Thimbam Hill Road. 

They demanded withdrawal of the ban. More than 2,000 shops have also been closed at Sathy and Thalavadi in support of the demand.

It was announced that a waiting protest will be held from Monday at the Bannari check post in Satyamangalam. Accordingly, the waiting struggle began. For this, a huge shamiyana was erected there.

From 9.30 am onwards, more than 200 people, including truck owners, drivers, traders, and all-party joined the stir.  Truck owners and truck drivers lined up near the checkpoint and took part in the stir. 

As a precautionary measure,  more than 20 policemen, led by DSP Jayapalan, were on security duty there.
