US-Russia tensions soar amid Ukraine war: Urgent need to defuse global nuclear threat

The United States has permitted Ukraine to use its long-range missiles, enabling potential strikes deep within Russia, a move seen as retaliation against Russia's deployment of North Korean forces in the Ukraine conflict. In response, Russian President Putin signed a modified nuclear policy allowing the use of nuclear weapons against a non-nuclear country which uses weapons supplied by a nuclear country.
Meanwhile, the Ukraine - Russia conflict has taken a turn for the worse in the last few days. There are reports that Ukraine launched 6 US missiles with the permission of Joe Biden and Russia intercepted and destroyed them.
Thus, there is a worldwide fear that Russia may use nuclear weapons at any moment in the name of national security. Protracted war with Ukraine likely to erupt into US & Russia conflict. There is no doubt that if NATO countries are directly involved in the war in Ukraine, it will lead to a world war. If you add up the military strength of all NATO countries it will be many times more than Russia. But Russia has the most powerful nuclear weapons in the world.
So a war between NATO countries and Russia is sure to cause a global catastrophe.
It doesn't matter if the war between Russia & Ukraine continues; we must prevent nuclear bombs from ever hitting this earth again. The only way to do that is for the USA and Russia to back off their course. For now, that's what the world is waiting for.
Such an unusual situation has arisen with just a couple of weeks left for Trump to take office as the new president of the United States. Will there be changes in the situation at least after he takes office?
