VCK condemns BJP's suggestion to bifurcate TN

The VCK activists condemned BJP Legislative Party Leader Nayanar Nagendran's idea of dividing Tamil Nadu into two and Hindu Makkal Katchi district president Arjun Sampath's insinuating remarks against party president Thol Thirumavalavan at  Erode Karungalpalayam on Friday.

The north district president of the party Siruthai Valluvan led the demonstration and said that ''we are against BJP's idea of dividing Tamil Nadu into two parts.

All Tamilians live together in Tamil Nadu regardless of caste and religion, so the state should not be divided into two. Similarly, we also oppose the idea of a separate TN country expressed by DMK MP Raja.''  The party women executives tore Arjun Sampath's photo and threw it away and warned him that he will face consequences if he speaks against Thol Thirumavalavan in indecent manner.

They raised slogans  demanding arrest of him under the National Security Act and SC/ST Prevention of Atrocities Act.

Party functionaries Vijayabalan, Amjad Khan, Nasar, Baisul Ahmed, Chandrakumar, Bhupathi, Mani, Megala, Ranjith, Suchitra, Ilayaraja, Balraj, participated in the demonstration.

They thanked Andhra Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy for naming a district after Dr Ambedkar and celebrated it by giving sweets to the general public and garlanding Gandhi statue there.
